We fulfill our mission by providing the following services, with preference given to those most in need: Sign Language Summer Program - six-week day camps for children operated in an American Sign Language (ASL) environment. Family Communication Program - a Deaf teacher brings ASL skills into the family home through a 12-week course. Deaf Parenthood Project - A 10-week workshop takes Deaf parents with children through “Systematic Training for Effective Parenting” Saturday Recreational Program - Deaf children and their hearing siblings develop social skills by interacting with Deaf peers and role models. Youth Program - Deaf secondary school students look to us for leadership, social and linguistic benefits not available in their school environment. Housing Resource Centre - Deaf clients looking for help to either find accommodation within their means, or assistance with their negotiation with agencies and landlords. Deaf Adult Services for the Deaf - Assists Deaf adults who need extra help in dealing with local government authorities, tax returns, public officials and systems. Silent Voice Canada has partnered with CanadaHelps.org a not-for-profit charity portal and a registered public foundation that provides this service at no cost to the charity or the donor. Click “DONATE NOW” and follow the instructions. All information you enter is strictly confidential and securely protected, and only provided to Silent Voice. Donations made through the CanadaHelps.org website are treated the same way as a regular receiptable donation. Usually within minutes of making your donation you will receive an e-mailed response confirming your transaction. Because CanadaHelps.org is a registered public foundation, you will be receipted for a donation to CanadaHelps.org. The funds are then processed and directed to the Silent Voice bank account.
